Industry 4.0 solutions
The term Industry 4.0 is synonymous with the fourth industrial revolution.
By carrying out self-diagnostics and preventive maintenance, the flexibility will be such as to allow the products to be customized according to the needs of the individual customer. The adoption of this system has the aim of improving working conditions, increasing the productivity and production quality of the plants.
Our project offers a supervision service for non-ferrous metal drawing systems, capable of communicating with all production subsystems and allowing for better ergonomics in the management of all production processes.
The information is divided as follows:
- Management of recipes
- Product type that contains system setting data (product ID, type of material, machine setting data, production speed, type of reel, meters to be wound on the reel, etc.)
- Batch management, which contains the list of all the batches being processed (data from the customer ERP, batch ID, product ID, meters to be produced, meters produced, production start date and end date, number of plant stops for alarm and alarm ID, line speed, finished production, etc.)
- Lot under construction. These fields are cyclically updated by the plant's production process and at the end of batch production, they become a record in the "Batch Management" table with definitive processing fields.
- Next batch. These fields contain information about the next batch.
The architecture of the projects is developed with Microsoft SQL Server which is one of the most common SQL servers in the industrial sector.
In modern Industry 4.0 production, databases are the heart of networked production.
All data relating to optimal production is stored here and made available to other systems that communicate directly with the Simatic S7-1500 PLC.
